Luminous UFO sighted by police and pilot in Lanzarote

In February 1985, officers from the Municipal Police of Yaiza in Lanzarote called the airport control tower around 9:10 PM to report a non-identified luminous object over the sky of Playa Blanca. The control tower informed the captain of flight 279 Arrecife-Las Palmas, who confirmed that the object followed the flight between 3,000 and 10,000 feet before disappearing.
