Summary

In October 1968, a Portuguese citizen named José Augusto Gonçalves sighted an unidentified object in Serra Negra, Brazil. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM when the man, along with his wife and daughter, observed a luminous object shaped like a pear, hovering about 15 meters above a tree. The object remained there for about 15 minutes, without making any noise, before moving to about 400 meters and landing on the ground. The lights in the area went out during the phenomenon, causing some alarm among the witnesses. Although they tried to approach, a ravine prevented them from getting closer. The case was officially reported by the Brazilian Air Force and is preserved in declassified archives.

The observer described the object as bright blue with several luminous antennas, showing no signs of a crew. A recording of the witness's interview, made by the local radio station, was offered as additional evidence. Despite efforts to obtain more information, the observer could not recall precise details, complicating the investigation. The case remains a mystery, with theories ranging from scientific devices to extraterrestrial crafts.
