🇧🇷 Fuerza Aérea (Operação Prato)
In May 1964, a 45-year-old man named Tertius Linhares reported a UFO sighting in the Mato Grosso region of Brazil. The SIOANI 96 document, part of the official archive of the Brazilian Air Force, contains details about the witness, his environment, and the description of the phenomenon. Linhares, a married father of four, claimed to have seen an unidentified flying object with flickering lights and unusual movements. Although the document is partially illegible due to digitization errors, it reflects the thoroughness with which data was recorded, including weather conditions and technical descriptions of the UFO.
The case does not include photographs or recordings, but it does have an authorization for its use in research. The Brazilian Air Force, through the Ufological Group of Guarujá, digitized this file as part of its effort to preserve historical information on sightings. Despite the lack of physical evidence, Linhares' testimony adds to the long list of reports that have fueled curiosity about unexplained aerial phenomena. This document, though fragmented, offers a glimpse into the methodological rigor applied at the time to record such events.
