🇧🇷 Fuerza Aérea (Operação Prato)
In 1980, an unidentified flying object (UFO) was seen falling into a reservoir in the Parintins region, Amazonas, Brazil. Witnesses reported that the object, described as a "cigar" approximately five meters in diameter and eight meters in length, fell at high speed and caused a shockwave that shook the area. The impact created a large disturbance in the lake, killed all the fish, and raised the water level by over 30 centimeters. Witnesses noted that the object made no sound and appeared to move in a controlled manner.
Subsequently, several people who came into contact with the reservoir water began experiencing strange symptoms such as nausea, insomnia, agitation, vomiting, and leg pain. One of the affected individuals, a young man named Wagdo Estevão, died from leukemia. Despite efforts to investigate the incident, including attempts to drain the reservoir and search for the object, it was never recovered. Local authorities and ufologists have expressed concern about possible radiological effects, although no conclusive studies have been conducted. The case remains a mystery for both the scientific community and the local population.
