In April 1956, three witnesses in La Londe observed a red ball in the sky on a clear, moonless night. The phenomenon remained stationary for several minutes before moving along with the observers, eventually disappearing behind trees. Shortly after, other witnesses in Elbeuf also reported a red, round object, though their observation was very brief. Although both descriptions seem similar, it cannot be confirmed that they observed the same phenomenon. Astronomical analysis found no relevant celestial objects in the indicated directions, making this case not particularly unusual.
