UFO seen near a military base in 1964

Summary

In February 1964, a witness reported seeing a strange phenomenon near the Bourget military base. At 2:30 in the morning, while returning to the base, he noticed a faint light at about 200-300 meters. Approaching the military fence, he saw five silhouettes moving around a mysterious object. It had a rounded or oval shape with a bulged top and flat bottom. It measured between 8 and 10 meters in diameter and 2.50 to 3 meters in height. The object then rose vertically at high speed toward the south in complete silence, leaving a brief vertical trail. The next day, the witness noticed slight flattening in the grass and some shrubs near the location. However, no further evidence or witnesses were found.

The testimony, submitted decades later in 2007, lacks confirmation and no serious analysis could be conducted. Although the account is detailed, its late reporting and lack of solid physical evidence make it difficult to verify. The case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating it cannot be confirmed. Nevertheless, the unusual details described by the witness, such as the object's shape and the silent takeoff, remain intriguing.
