In January 1976, a farmer in Neuville-Saint-Vaast observed an unknown object moving slowly over the woods. The object made no noise and traveled from east to west. During the one-minute observation, a powerful spotlight was turned on, illuminating the plain. The witness went to get his son, but upon returning, the object was gone. Despite the gendarmerie investigation, no other testimonies or information were found.
