On January 19, 1976, a witness in Aveyron observed for three minutes a disc-shaped object measuring 2.50 meters in diameter with an orange phosphorescent color. The object appeared to be resting on an asphalt path near a ridge line. The witness saw the object move at low altitude through the valley before disappearing behind a farm building. No unusual noise was heard during the object's movement, and neither the witness nor his son found any physical traces at the presumed location of the object.
Two other people reported seeing an unusual light that night on the road, but all testimonies remained brief and provided little additional information. Due to the lack of concrete evidence, the case was classified as C by the GEIPAN. Despite the clear description of the object, the absence of physical proof and limited witness accounts hindered any further in-depth analysis.
