🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On February 9, 1977, around 6:50 PM, several people in the Gard region of France observed an unusual light in the sky near the mountain ridge to the southeast. Initially stationary, the spherical light gradually ascended while changing color before suddenly disappearing. Witnesses called the gendarmerie, but officers could not confirm the presence of the light or detect any related sounds. The case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating no satisfactory explanation was found. Despite the lack of additional information, the light's unusual behavior raises questions about its nature.
