🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 7, 1977, several witnesses in Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur, France, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon. At 1:30 AM, they observed a bright point on top of a hill that evolved into a large, vivid orange triangle. The object, described as a cone, appeared to be approaching them, prompting the witnesses to flee in their cars. The phenomenon disappeared behind a row of trees. Later, the witnesses returned to the site with others but saw nothing. The gendarmerie found no ground traces and received no additional reports from the local population.
