On October 9, 1977, in Saint-Porchaire (Charente-Maritime), several witnesses, including gendarmes, observed for over three hours a luminous phenomenon with varying colors that did not match stars. Observers noted unusual movements and intense lighting that could not be easily explained. That same day at 21:00, another witness described two bright white beams that were symmetrical, suggesting a coherent observation of a non-conventional object or craft. Three days later, on October 12 at 19:45, a new report described a phenomenon that illuminated the surroundings with colors similar to fireworks. Despite multiple sightings, the gendarmerie did not link them, and available information remains limited.
