🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On December 17, 1977, around midnight, several members of the same family in Carquefou (Loire-Atlantique) observed a luminous phenomenon for a few seconds from the doorstep of their home. They saw an orange-yellow ball moving very quickly from the northeast to the south, leaving behind a bright light that illuminated the night. The object was moving at high speed, which caught the attention of the witnesses. Although the case was classified as type B by the GEIPAN, suggesting a plausible explanation, the unusual nature of the phenomenon was not completely ruled out.
