On April 4, 1978, at around 2:45 AM, a factory guard observed a white ball at high altitude above a wooded area. The witness saw it five times, noting that its size varied and that it moved very quickly. Eventually, the ball disappeared gradually into the sky. No other witnesses or additional information were collected about this phenomenon. Due to the lack of data, investigators could not classify it further.
This case, labeled as C by the GEIPAN, is an example of the difficulty in analyzing unexplained aerial phenomena with limited information. Although the guard clearly described what he saw, there were no images, physical traces, or secondary testimonies to help confirm his account. Researchers concluded that there was not enough information to determine the nature of the phenomenon, highlighting the importance of having multiple sources for such studies.
