In June 1978, a driver and his passenger in Tavaux (France) observed a bright point at a distance of about 5 kilometers. Later, around 21:15, they saw an orange-colored disc slowly ascending vertically into the sky and disappearing into the clouds, leaving a colored trail visible. A few days later, a local newspaper published the account, prompting another person to report having seen a similar circular, yellow-orange phenomenon between 21:30 and 21:45 on the same day. Although both sightings coincided in date and location, no clear explanation was found due to the lack of precise details.
