In January 1979, a witness in Brive (France) observed from a window an oval-shaped object moving silently over a road. The object had fixed red and green lights on its lower part and a bright yellow light in the center. It moved slowly from east to west, which caught the witness's attention due to its unusual behavior. The subsequent investigation revealed that the object was not an unexplained phenomenon, but a twin-engine FBOOM commercial aircraft that landed and took off from the nearby Brive airport.
Although the initial testimony generated curiosity, the conventional explanation resolved the case. The testimony described a scene that, while unusual, matched the description of an aircraft in motion. This case is an example of how ordinary objects can be perceived unexpectedly under certain conditions. The GEIPAN classification as "A" indicates that the case was clearly resolved and not considered an unexplained phenomenon.
