On January 13, 1979, several witnesses in Tarn-et-Garonne observed a luminous object in the sky emitting multicolored reflections. The phenomenon lasted about thirty minutes, with the object located to the right of the Moon, though the exact distance was unknown. Researchers suggest it could be an astronomical observation of Procyon or Sirius, known for their brightness and colorful reflections. Jupiter is also mentioned, though its position does not match the account.
After being away for three hours, the witnesses returned around midnight and saw the same phenomenon, but further south. This shift aligns with the natural movement of stars, supporting an astronomical explanation. Despite the duration and detailed description, no conclusive evidence of an unidentified phenomenon was found.
