On March 22, 1979, a witness in Chef-du-Pont (Manche) observed a glowing orange ball, roughly the size of a football. It appeared at high altitude and moved horizontally with quick back-and-forth motions before shifting to vertical movement, emitting green reflections. The strange thing is that the same phenomenon repeated the next day at the same time and location. Despite the recurrence, no other witnesses reported the event, limiting the possibility of confirming details or finding a conventional explanation. The case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating that no satisfactory explanation was found.
