🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On the night of July 10, 1979, a witness in Chole, France, observed a luminous object around 3 a.m. The object, described as round or oval and yellow in color, was moving diagonally from north to east. It remained visible for 10 to 15 minutes without making any noise. Although it might seem mysterious at first, experts believe it was likely a satellite of the Transit or Oscar type. Skylab, another famous satellite, had already stopped being visible in France by the end of June. This case was classified as B by the GEIPAN, indicating a plausible explanation.
