Foucherans UFO 1979

Summary

In September 1979, around 6:30 PM, a witness observed a luminous object appearing on the horizon. The object was moving very slowly from south to north, which initially led the witness to think it was a commercial aircraft. However, when the object stopped above him, it revealed a very bright spherical shape with a metallic gray color. After remaining there for about a minute, the object reversed direction and quickly disappeared beyond the horizon within seconds. No unusual noise was heard during the observation. The testimony, reported many years later (in October 2007), is sparse and does not allow for a serious investigation to confirm or refute hypotheses such as an aircraft turning or a balloon affected by wind shear.
