Sondernach 1979, lights linked by streamers on New Year's Eve

Summary

On the night of December 31, 1979, between 11:15 PM and 1:00 AM, two witnesses observed two lights in the sky over Sondernach (Haut-Rhin) connected by multicolored luminous streamers. The observation was intermittent and the phenomenon vanished entirely around 1:00 AM. No additional testimonies were obtained. GEIPAN classified the case as C, unable to determine the origin of the phenomenon.
