Three on-duty soldiers reported an unidentified flying object over Évreux on February 16, 1980, between 1:00 and 1:30 AM. They were uncertain of its shape but agreed it emitted an intense orange light. The object remained motionless for a minute, then rose rapidly and moved in stages until its light faded to a dot. There were no civilian testimonies or available radar records. The case was classified as C due to insufficient data.
