Lights over Pau during the Tour de France

Summary

On July 12, 2017, as Pau hosted a Tour de France stage, a pedestrian noticed several people in Place Clémenceau pointing skyward. He saw bright, flat shapes glide over the chamber of commerce rooftop and vanish. Shortly after, from the Boulevard des Pyrénées, he spotted additional luminous dots moving in a straight line before changing direction, all in complete silence. He photographed the phenomenon.

Though his is the only testimony, the festive context strongly suggests decorative balloons released during the celebration. The lack of additional reports despite the large crowd reinforces this hypothesis. GEIPAN classified the case as B.
