At 11:45 p.m. on June 19, 1980, a child in Chanceaux-près-Loches woke to find his bedroom suddenly lit up. Through the window he saw a silent triangular object bearing fixed and flashing lights — a yellow base, sides alternating yellow and red, and a bright red spotlight that activated as the lateral lights reached the upper vertex. Frightened, he called his mother, who watched the phenomenon with him until the object disappeared into the landscape under overcast skies. No additional witnesses or details were gathered, and the case remains unsolved.
