At 11:45 p.m. on June 19, 1980, a child in Chanceaux-près-Loches woke to find his bedroom suddenly lit up. Through the window he saw a silent triangular object bearing fixed and flashing lights — a yellow base, sides alternating yellow and red, and a bright red spotlight that activated as the lateral lights reached the upper vertex.
