Brief orange disc over Meudon

Summary

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on July 4, 1980, a witness in Meudon saw a very bright orange disc with a thin smoke trail to its right, moving silently across the sky. In under a minute the disc vanished, leaving behind a yellow light. With only one witness and very little data, no reliable interpretation is possible. The case remains unexplained.
