Dark sphere with illuminated windows over Ollioules

Summary

In August 1980, two witnesses on their terrace in Ollioules saw a black sphere moving rapidly from west to east. As it passed over their house, the object's shape shifted, revealing about a dozen square windows lit from within. A sudden intense light appeared and the object vanished silently. The sighting lasted 20 to 30 seconds.

No other witnesses or supporting records were found. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning no conventional explanation was identified, though the lack of additional evidence prevents any firm conclusion.
