Luminous semicircle hovering near Saint-Romain-en-Gal

On the night of September 5, 1980, a girl in Saint-Romain-en-Gal got up to close a window blown open by the wind. About 100 meters from her house, at an estimated height of 150 meters, a semicircular object hovered, emitting a very bright yellow-orange light. Several times the object partially dimmed, leaving only a light at each end. The observation lasted about half an hour until the object went completely dark. It never touched the ground, and there were no other witnesses.
