Silent multicoloured object over Essonne, 2015

Summary

On the night of 24 December 2015, three people watching from a tenth-floor apartment in Essonne saw a luminous object cycling through green, blue and orange for about 45 seconds. It moved silently and disappeared behind the building as it passed overhead. Only one testimony was collected. Weather data from Orly showed a south-westerly wind consistent with the observed trajectory. GEIPAN classified the case as B, most likely a festive balloon fitted with LED lights — an increasingly common phenomenon on holidays.
