On 15 November 1980 a motorist in Castres spotted a disc-shaped object behind trees on a hill. He described it as white and bright, climbing in a zigzag pattern at high speed. Suddenly two beams of light illuminated his vehicle, frightening him. The object shrank to a dot and vanished quickly.
