Fleeting luminous dot over Albi, 1980

Summary

On 24 November 1980 a motorist in Albi noticed a whitish luminous dot in a clear sky. The object travelled in a straight line from west to east, between 30 and 60 degrees above the horizon, and vanished abruptly without any sound. The sighting lasted roughly one second. No other testimonies were recorded. Classified C by GEIPAN, there is insufficient data for a conclusive analysis.
