Probable atmospheric entry observed in Saint-Rivoal, 1981

Summary

On 26 January 1981 a CB radio enthusiast driving through Finistère noticed a flash in the clear sky lasting three seconds. Looking out of his window, he saw a white luminous dot growing rapidly as it descended. The total observation lasted six to seven seconds before the light intensified and abruptly went out. Investigators believe it may have been an atmospheric entry. Classified B by GEIPAN.
