Cigar-shaped object over Sens

On July 28, 1981, around 12:30 PM, two people on their terrace in Sens saw a black dot in the sky that, as it drew closer, took on a cigar shape. The object changed direction frequently and, viewed through binoculars, appeared quite large and gleamed in the sunlight. It eventually disappeared climbing westward. It could have been an aircraft, but the available information is insufficient for a clear identification.
