Low-altitude luminous object in Corsica

Summary

At 10:55 PM on August 3, 1981, a witness in Haute-Corse spotted a flying object less than 400 meters away, moving very slowly near the ground with a slight downward tilt. It emitted a multicolored flame and, as it passed, a halo of light illuminated the surroundings. There was no impact and no noise. The investigation found no explanation for the phenomenon.
