Luminous object found in a night photograph in Angoulême in 1981

Summary

One night in October 1981, a person photographed the city lights from a family apartment in Angoulême. Upon developing the slides, an unexpected bright spot appeared in one frame. A 13×18 enlargement revealed an object that did not seem to belong to the surroundings, bearing features resembling an unconventional craft. The witness reported it to the gendarmerie and left a sketch. No further data were obtained. GEIPAN classified the case as C — a conventional explanation can be neither confirmed nor ruled out.
