Formation of red dots over a dark object in Ouville-l'Abbaye in 1981

Summary

One night in October 1981, a witness in Ouville-l'Abbaye observed five or six red dots moving slowly in a straight line over what appeared to be a dark object. The phenomenon lasted two to three minutes before the object changed direction and vanished at high speed, turning white as it accelerated. The witness initially thought it might be a farm vehicle. No sound was heard. A second observer gave a less detailed account. The testimony reached GEIPAN over thirty years after the event, and combined with the imprecision of the data, the case was classified as C due to insufficient reliable information.
