Multicolored luminous sphere at high altitude in Ferrette in 1981

Summary

On November 4, 1981, around 10:00 a.m., workers in the Haut-Rhin department spotted a spherical object at high altitude. Under clear skies and good visibility, they watched it for about ten minutes as it moved slowly, displaying flickering and changing colors while seemingly rotating. It eventually disappeared over the horizon without a trace. The lack of additional information prevented any explanation, and GEIPAN classified the case as unexplained.
