Bluish ring sighting at Latour de France in 1981

Shortly after sunset on 16 December 1981, several witnesses in the Pyrénées-Orientales spotted a bright point of light surrounded by a bluish ring. At times the object displayed a coloured trail and moved in a zigzag pattern. Despite the relatively long duration of the observation, no further details about the phenomenon could be gathered. The case remains unexplained.
