In February 1983, a man riding a moped near Saint-Hilaire-de-Lusignan claimed he was stopped by a very bright beam of light and lost consciousness. About an hour later he reportedly saw a luminous disc moving away noisily. Investigators found the testimony lacked credibility, partly due to possible alcohol influence. GEIPAN classified the case as B, with no conclusive evidence of an anomalous phenomenon.
