🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
From his terrace on the night of July 15, 1983, a witness in Boussay saw a rounded luminous object in green and blue that crossed the sky at high speed in roughly four seconds. It left a long, bright white trail and followed a straight, steady trajectory before vanishing at the horizon. The characteristics—speed, trail, and brevity—are consistent with a body entering Earth's atmosphere. GEIPAN classified the case as B, indicating a probable though not definitively confirmed explanation.
