Summary

One July 1983 night, two people in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse woke with the sensation of being watched. Looking up, they saw a transparent luminous sphere the size of a basketball gliding silently through the room before exiting through an open window. The testimony, recorded in 2013, was deemed coherent and reliable. A Lightning Laboratory expert suggested it could have been ball lightning—a rare but plausible phenomenon during warm, electrically charged nights. The lack of an exact date and the single testimony prevented confirmation, so GEIPAN classified the case as C.
