In November 1984, several witnesses in Saint-Denis les Bains on Réunion Island observed a luminous object at low altitude over the coast. They described it as a football-sized white ball with a vivid red tail roughly two meters long. It moved slowly in a straight line, silently, and remained visible for five to six seconds. GEIPAN classified the case as B. The phenomenon's characteristics resemble an atmospheric entry, though it could not be matched to any known meteor.
