Mouchy-le-Châtel 1985, incandescent sphere hovering at five metres

Summary

On 26 June 1985 a witness in Mouchy-le-Châtel watched for five minutes a circular object roughly 1.50 m in diameter and 1.80 m tall hovering five metres above the ground. It appeared gaseous and unstable and emitted a strong incandescent glow without any sound. It then suddenly vanished. The witness reported a similar experience in 1976. Despite these elements, no further data on the phenomenon were obtained.
