Reventin-Vaugris 1985, dome-shaped light observed for one hour

Summary

On 14 September 1985 a witness watched for one hour a dome-shaped object emitting interior lights over Reventin-Vaugris. Later, through binoculars, he noticed it leaving an incandescent trail. Gendarmes and the director of an observatory also tried to observe it with binoculars, but fog prevented any telescope follow-up. No further data were obtained. Classified C by GEIPAN, the case remains unexplained.
