🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Over three consecutive nights in September 1985, several witnesses in Marseille watched a stationary point of light in the sky that flickered faintly in red, blue, yellow and green. Observation sessions lasted up to two hours. Staff at the Haute-Provence Observatory confirmed the sightings and suggested the source was most likely a star or planet. No anomalous effects were reported, and conventional explanations such as aircraft or satellites were ruled out. GEIPAN classified the case as B, meaning the explanation is probable but not definitive.
