Rectangular object with coloured lights over Cachan

Summary

On 20 October 1986, a witness in Cachan saw a rectangular object in the sky with a rounded front bearing a white light and a triangular rear. Beneath the grey, metallic-looking craft he noted one red light and two green ones. It moved slowly and silently at about 200 metres altitude. There were no other witnesses or additional evidence. Classified as C by GEIPAN, the case stands out for the precision with which the witness described the lights and geometry of the object, though its nature could not be determined.
