Silent luminous sphere seen by two drivers in Givry

Summary

On the night of 6–7 February 1988, two drivers who travelled the same road in Givry, Saône-et-Loire, at different times independently reported a sphere emitting an intense white light that appeared to move silently. Their descriptions matched on the spherical shape and total absence of sound. No further data were obtained. GEIPAN classified the case as C, though the agreement between two independent witnesses lends it some weight.
