Fast Moon-sized blue ball over Brommat

Summary

In July 1988, a witness in Aveyron saw a blue ball the apparent size of the Moon cross the night sky at high speed and in complete silence. The event was brief but striking. Its speed, colour and trajectory are consistent with an atmospheric entry such as a fireball or meteorite. No additional testimonies or physical traces were recorded. GEIPAN classified the case as B—probable explanation.
