Around 10:45 PM on August 9, 1988, a witness in Nontron (Dordogne) observed a very bright green light moving rapidly in an elliptical path. Shortly afterward, a second green light appeared and eventually merged with the first. The phenomenon lasted about fifteen minutes in complete silence. Although there is no concrete evidence to confirm it, the described behavior closely resembles a laser effect. GEIPAN classified the case as B — a clear observation but without a confirmed conventional explanation.
