Silent round object over a field near Cambrai in 1988

Summary

On December 16, 1988, near Cambrai, a student observed from her car a silent round object hovering steadily about twenty meters above a field. Four to six bright lights were visible on its underside. At the same time, a nearby apparently abandoned house showed an interior light. The observation lasted about one minute; the witness did not dare stop.

The subsequent investigation revealed the light in the house was due to military personnel using the property for maneuvers. However, the aerial object could not be identified and remains unexplained.
