Summary

In February 2011, a witness recounted a sighting they placed at the end of December 1988 in Noisy-le-Sec. The testimony specified neither the exact day nor time, making any further investigation impossible. Nevertheless, the described characteristics match those of the atmospheric reentry of a Cosmos 1954 satellite fragment, observed by numerous witnesses on December 21, 1988. Despite this possible connection, the lack of concrete data led GEIPAN to classify the case as C — impossible to investigate.
