In February 1989, about ten independent witnesses spread across several departments in southwestern France — Aveyron, Tarn-et-Garonne, and others — observed an intense light that turned bluish and vanished within seconds. Authorities found no traces of any fallen object. The brief, luminous trajectory points to an atmospheric entry, though the coincidence of multiple observations from distant areas was noteworthy. GEIPAN classified the case as B — a conventional explanation was not ruled out, but the absence of physical evidence prevented definitive closure.
